El Paso Flames Collect Cans

The El Paso Flames Pathfinder Club collected canned goods during their first annual can drive the weekend of November 19-20, 2011, collecting a table and a half-worth of food for Thanksgiving baskets.

“It feels good to help people in need,” says Leo Obeso, one of the TLTs for the club.

The club passed out bags in the neighborhoods surrounding the church on Sabbath, November 19, with notes attached explaining what was happening and returned the next day to pick them up.

“The kids put in a lot of effort and initiative,” says Aimee Clapp, Deputy Director for the club.
