Pathfinders Have Successful Fundraiser
The pathfinder club of the El Paso Central church, the El Paso Flames, had a very successful fundraiser this Sunday, July 12, 2009.
“We have awesome kids and an even greater God!”, says Chris Clapp, the director of the club. “Between the hard work of the kids as well as the staff, we cleared $174 after expenses. It’s a testament to what happens when you ask God to bless your efforts!”
The club sold water bottles in two different locations; first on Scenic Drive to people who walked and rode it early in the morning and second at the corner of Gateway West and Hawkins Blvd.
The fundraiser is another to raise funds for the trip planned to the “Courage to Stand” International Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, WI, next month. Other fundraisers have included spaghetti dinners and gift wrapping among others. If you would like to support the pathfinder club with a donation, either mark your tithe envelope with “Oshkosh trip” at church or contact Chris Clapp at 915-227-7523.
